For “amazingly delicious” soba “done right” , fans command you “go immediately” to these tiny noodle shops set in “unpretentious digs” just like “you'll find in Japan” ; while the staff is “friendly” , be prepared “for long waits at peak time” ; P.S. the NoLita outpost's next-door sib, Goemon Curry, focuses on Japanese curry.

VERY good Japanese noodles restaurant. Fairly priced and drink list is limited, but all good. Plenty of seating too, which is great for LES and unexpected if you look at the storefront. Cash only though with limited ATMs and banks around, so definitely plan accordingly. Friend who lived in Japan said it was very authentic, American living me liked the taste. Take it well on both accounts.

Even when I came in 5 minutes, before closing, they fed us, and it was the best noodle, spices, I have ever had. The taste of the noodles, spice, made me feel warm inside. Thank you.

I'm terrible at remembering to write reviews but I had such a lovely experience at Cocoron I had to remember. The food is delicious and the staff were friendly and warm and made my sole dining fun and I left smiling. Highly recommend.
