This "wonderfully cozy" Nob Hill rotisserie specialist offers "deceptively simple" French fare on an "authentic" menu that includes "divine" duck and "flavorful and juicy" coq au vin; the "intimate atmosphere" is "romantic without being cheesy" , and couples looking for an "even more memorable experience" can request the coveted "cubbyhole table."

Cocotte was once a cosy French gem in SF... No more. Mediocre food, distracting music, and unpleasant staff is now standard fare.

May have been a good place at some point, but definitely no longer worth going to. The moment they brought the mussels and they smelled bad as in old/reheated we knew we had made a mistake coming. The chicken was dry and unsalted, the calamari burnt and not stuffed. Side dishes were ok, but even the fries were just ok. Expensive and they even tried to stiff us for two desserts we did not have. Forget it.
