This "wonderfully cozy" Nob Hill rotisserie specialist offers "deceptively simple" French fare on an "authentic" menu that includes "divine" duck and "flavorful and juicy" coq au vin; the "intimate atmosphere" is "romantic without being cheesy" , and couples looking for an "even more memorable experience" can request the coveted "cubbyhole table."

Came here for restaurant week because they posted a lovely menu with choices. To start with, they did it right- a sampling of the chef's menu so that we could experience a range of items. Restaurant week is so often just a few lame dishes to get a few extra covers but not here, oh no. Cocotte does it the way it should be done. The food was all delicious. It was chicken terrine with amazing bread delivered warm to the table. It was trout with a lovely light touch. Then, it was a nice wine glass menu and a short list of surprisingly good beers. Of course, the entire space was full but didn't feel packed, just cozy. Super nice staff. I can go on but really, all you care to hear is that I can't wait to go back and try the duck confit from the regular menu.

Excellent. This place hit it outta the park. Mussels, freah bread, steak served with bone marrow. Everything was delicious and exceeded expectations.
