Overall: Trendy, cozy, and tasty. It may not be the best Italian in the area, but that doesn't mean it's not great. The good: Great atmosphere, which is home-y and warm yet still trendy and upscale. The service is friendly and helpful and overall very consistent. The food was served hot and tasted great. The "butternut squash gnocchi with sausage" that I had was creamy and unique, while the other dish I tried had a kick to the spicy red sauce. The not-so-good: Since there is so much seating crammed together, it got pretty loud. The portion sizes for the pasta were a little disappointing, considering how much they cost (and the menu overall). Unfortunately I left a little hungry. Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Service: 8.5/10 Food: 8.5/10

Service was very good but the food was just alright. The pizza isn't bad but given the pizza options in Chicago it needs to be better to get my business. The pasta dish we had was to fishy. For dessert we had the chocolate carrot cake and while it wasn't bad it wasn't something I ever need again. The cocktail was over iced to three point it felt like I bought a shot over ice. The crowd is interesting but the layout of the restaurant makes it feel very cramped.

Live in the area and went for the Valentine's Day menu. Dishes were very good (though none are on the daily menu), but the bolognese was excellent. I imagine the bolognese on the menu is very similar and also good. Great wine selection. Atmosphere is modern. Service was busy on Valentines Day but very good, so much that someone who seemed to be the manager served us our next course because he saw we were done with the one in front of us. Overall good experience.
