Experience Michael Chiarello's "magic at its best" at this "happening" Spaniard (and Bottega sibling) on the Embarcadero, where a "rustic" locale with "perfect bay views" sets the stage for sharing the "delectable" likes of paella, bite-size pintxos and tapas, all punched up with "American twirl and show" and ferried by an "efficient" staff; even with "platinum-card" pricing, it's a "very popular" spot with a "lively" bar for "sipping cleverly constructed cocktails" and regional wines.

Beautiful place for eating and enjoying Spanish small plates and drinks (or a pitcher) with friends. Service is attentive. Restaurant is warm and cozy. Foods can meet the needs of both meat & veg persons. Would recommend to those visiting and those living here.

It was a very good dinner. We we're the last to be seated on a Sunday night so people we're ready to get out but staff was nice. I would recommend everything but the meatballs. Although they were good they were too sweet for me. Sit at the bar around the kitchen if you can. Very fun to watch the cooks.

I have been here twice in the last 4 months. The food and drinks are always good, as is the service. Both times it was hard to get a table, but I was able to sit at the bar. They also change to a limited menu between 3 and 5pm. The sangria is worth trying.
