This "busy" Fisherman's Wharf seafooder features "delicious" crab and lobster that find their way into the signature garlic sauce as well as soups, salads and sandwiches; "friendly" servers work the nautically decorated, "diner-style" space with "nice views of the bay" , and while a few find it "touristy" , others tout it as their "favorite place to bring out-of-town guests."

(Edited) I left a comment that the restaurant charged extra $10 on my final bill here and their yelp page. The reason was that they replied to my initial comment on the yelp page, saying that they'll reach out to me, but they didn't. Thus, after ONE YEAR, I made another comment and reached out to them, asking them about the additional $10 charge. They pulled out the receipt copy, and it turns out that there was arithmetic issue there. The original bill was $109.35, and I multiplied it by 1.15 and put $125.00 on the total section (and wrote $125 down on my copy). Then I did the subtraction wrong and put $25.65 for the gratuity (it should be $15.65). Although I put $125.00 on the total section, they still charged me 109.35 + 25.65 = $135.00. I admitted that I made an arithmetic error, but it is my understanding from Visa’s own rules that in cases where the gratuity does not match the total, the total amount is what should be charged. They replied that the policy is for the server to enter the tip amount, not the total amount, but they are willing to return the $10 to me. That's the whole story.

Ripped off. Ordered the whole crab and the crab shell came in empty. It was completely and thoroughly cleaned out. What is the point of crab if they take out the best part (aka the roe)?! I paid for a whole crab and they did not not deliver. We ended up breaking the crab shell so they can't reuse it for another customer. Worst crab experience ever.

Went here with family, as we have always wanted to try the place out. Sadly we're never going back. The place wasn't busy. Never asked us how the meal was, never refilled our drinks without us asking. Bruschetta was soggy... Half a crab was just four small legs.... The shrimp cocktail was just shrimp on a stick with cocktail sauce on the side.... My God what was the crab cocktail then!?! The pasta was the best dish however it was still over cooked. This place probably started as an awesome Italian place, and our guess is they sold the business long ago to people who don't know how to cook Italian but kept the menu the same. Shameful really. Any other place on Pier 39 is better than here.
