A “welcome respite from the craziness of Chelsea Market” , this “lively” Lobster Place offshoot offers the same “amazingly fresh catches” (including “pristine” oysters) turned into “creative” , “well-crafted” dishes; the narrow space makes for “sardine” -like conditions, but the happy hour “can’t be beat.”

When I have friends who are travelling in NYC for the first time, I always take them to Cull & Pistol. I've always gotten the Connecticut style lobster roll everytime I visit. It's a bit pricey (around $27) but it comes with really crisp fries, Cole slaw and top notch lobster. I usually split the roll into halves to share, it helps that they give you a handful of lobsters coated in butter over a toasted bun. I order appetizers beforehand as well and they always change up the menu and get creative. (once with octopus served with cactus) Happy hour ($1 for 1 oyster) deals are also pretty amazing at this place. The location is convenient, it's located inside Chelsea market. I usually make a quick 2 minute walk to the High Line to walk off the meal. Stellar customer service, waiters were extremely attentive and offer suggestions for what dish to get as well. 5 stars 🌟

We had a dinner here recently and really enjoyed it. We arrived quite late 30min before closing. Restaurant was still full and we sat at the bar, which was actually quite nice, you can watch them preparing food. We had some oysters to start and lobster rolls for main accompanied with some organic Californian sparkling wine. Food was very tasty. The best oysters I ever tried. Lobster roll was very yummy too with some really nice fires. We enjoyed or dinner a lot. Service was good and it was nice not to be rushed although restaurant was already closing. The only down side, it that it is a bit pricy, we paid $200. In Europe the equivalent dinner would be 30% cheaper

Small but cozy place. Food was phenomenal. We sat and watched the oysters get shocked while listening to awesome music and dining on the perfect lobster. Definitely make reservations if you want a table but we enjoyed sitting at the bar.
