A taste of Spain in Downtown Asheville, this lively tapas bar from chef Katie Button serves up small plates – including grilled, cured and fried bites – alongside a curated menu of Spanish wines, sherries and vermouth. The narrow space with a living wall and long marble bar has been expanded, and now includes a second bar that takes inspiration from Spanish vermuterias and a jamoneria dispensing cured meats.

Was visiting Asheville from out of town. Curate came highly recommended and totally lived up to the hype. Top notch, extremely knowledgeable service, great drinks menu, and the food was amazing. We had a large group and did a tasting menu with lots of small plates to share which worked out perfectly. Each dish was better than the next, and was accompanied with a thorough explanation of what we were eating, which really turned the night into an experience. Would definitely go back again.

I guess this was my third or fourth time at Curate and every experience has been amazing. The dishes are a bit pricey (it's Tapas, so that's normal I guess) but the quality is worth the cost. I particularly enjoy the Vermouth on-tap, the breads and cheeses, and the stuffed peppers. We brought our kids once and it wasn't terrible, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.

Had a great experience here. The staff did an excellent job from the hostess to the bar tender to the people bringing the tapas. The 2 drinks I had were excellent. The bartender/server did a good job of helping us choosing some excellent plates. My favorites were the mushrooms and pork, along with the peppers. We would definitely return.
