Some of the “freshest, best tasting seafood in Houston” is served at this Museum District outpost renowned for its “real-deal Gulf Coast cuisine” including “excellent soups” and “terrific oysters” plucked from nearby beds; the serviceable “decor is alright but nothing to write home about” , though on the bright side, the “noise level is low enough to have an actual conversation” ; P.S. they host a blues brunch each Sunday.

Excellent seafood, broad menu and a friendly staff. When traveling and eating at restaurants for the first and perhaps only time, I rely on reviews to give me an idea of what to expect. Danton's will not disappoint. From the moment we arrived and were greeted until we walked out the door, the staff was cordial and attentive and the food excellent. The dining area has a nice feel (ambience) is not too noisy and has the feel of a well run, well established family restaurant. If I did not live 1500 miles away, I would be back regularly. Danton's is definitely on my short list for any return trips to the Houston area.

Delicious! Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and so good. The location has a bit of an old supper club feel. The staff is seasoned, service was great. The elderflower martini was near perfection - not too sweet. Key lime pie was also good. Nothing to complain about at all. Definitely here next time I'm in Houston.

Upscale seafood in Houston. Popular with locals and those who know Cajun food. Attentive service, they go out of their way to insure culinary excellence. If you do not like something, no hesitany in correcting/replace/refund. Every meal memorable. Very good, well made drinks. Great place for dates, quiet couples, business meal. Not really place for young children, but Dantons would be gracious to everyone. Parking is behind restaurant, so best to drop those with limited mobility at front door.
