Service

East Midtown's Indian “pioneer” (since 1986) “still pleases” , thanks to actress/chef Madhur Jaffrey's “high-caliber” cooking, “graciously served” in a “quiet” , “contemporary” room that's “conducive to conversation” ; it may look a little “tired” , but fans say the tabs are “worth the extra cost.”

Got stuck here cause my fav place on this street closed🤨. Anyway, the service was fast, expect they forgot the lemon rice. But when it came out it was basic basmati rice. Didn’t even taste like lemon. The chutneys are weak. None of the relish that has the salty taste with Mango, and the onion chutney was soupy. The tamarind martin taste like tamarind juicy juice. Should have never assumed, so surprised too because this is NYC. Guess I’ll go get a cheeseburger 🍔

I visited probably a few times for lunch, dinner, and a buffet. I think they're alright. You'll see USC students a neighborhood folks here. The food's just okay. If you're visiting, go for the lunch buffet.
