Delaware and Hudson
American eatery with a fixed-price menu

The Zagat Review
A “constantly changing” prix fixe menu “honors the seasons” at this Williamsburg American where “elevated” takes on Mid-Atlantic comfort food are “delicious” and “well presented” by an “accommodating” crew; the “warm, cozy” surrounds fill up fast, but an attached tavern offering à la carte bites adds more room.

I stumbled upon this place by accident due to some bogus directions I got for some other restaurant that as it turns out, didn't even exist. Anyway, it was to my advantage as the grilled cheese and tomato bisque combo that I ordered was amazing! In addition to the soup, which definitely tasted homemade and the sandwich made with grueyere cheese, there was a side of in house pickled veg, a tasty side salad and in house made chips. I didn't leave a single crumb behind. In talking with the friendly servers, I found out that everything they serve is farm to table, oh, and the best part is, they were just awarded a Michelin Star. I wish I had been in the mood for a beer as they have not only a great assortment of local taps, but a huge selection of bottled beers as well. I just had a cup of coffee, which was excellent. I'm told they get packed at dinner time, so reservations are highly recommended, but it's a perfect spot for a nice quiet late breakfast or lunch. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Extremely slow service. We were there for over 3 hours. Also overpriced. I'm not generally opposed to spending $150/person for a meal that's worth it, but that price for the slow service combined with good-but-not-amazing food was a let down. Oh another thing: we got $36 worth of cheese at the end only to get 6 relatively small pieces served with tricuits! Straight out of the box! I definitely will not be coming back here and encourage others to try something else as well.
