“Conveniently located” near Penn Station and MSG, this modern offshoot of the historic FiDi steakhouse lives up to its legendary name with “quality meats” and “warm service” ; the setting “doesn’t have the dramatic” style of the “swankier” original, but the cuts are “just as good” – and just as “pricey.”

7 of us stopped by without a reservation, and were welcomed without hesitation. The food and staff we’re exceptional. I met Dennis the owner and had a great conversation with him. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was definitely top notch, did the porterhouse for two. The meat was cooked correctly med-rare but I wasn't blown away. Thought we had just eaten the pork belly appetizer and were feeling it already. All in all it was satisfying but nothing really special.

The service is very good and some dishes here are done better than the downtown location. It has a limited menu and the bar makes the whole venue extremely loud. The ventilation system also makes it impossible for your food to stay remotely warm as you eat it. Cold steak, not so good.
