You can “turn back time” at this “iconic” FiDi steakhouse that preserves “the glories of old NY” with “top-of-the-line” meat and more (it’s the birthplace of baked Alaska and lobster Newburg) delivered in “robber baron” surrounds; at the offshoot near Penn Station, the cuts are “just as good” and just as “pricey.”

The porterhouse for two was excellent for one! Ask for it unsliced and eat a real steak. Very good cut of meat. Food was delicious but did NOT give 5 stars and only 3 because the 2 lb broiled lobster was split down the middle and filled with claw meat!! And NONE of the claws were from the 2 lb lobster I ordered. So I guess the tail went to those who ordered the surf and turf!!?? Basically they take all the 2lb meat out and throw in a bunch of 1 lb lobster claws. I feel like I was scammed...BEWARE ...order your lobster whole!!! Uncut!! Then you can't be lied to.

Excellent service. First time sharing a steak and we did the tomahawk. It was very fatty. Had good flavor but way too much fat. Sides were good and crab cake excellent! Highly recommend to try.

I'm a first time customer and was treated like a regular. The service here was impeccable and the staff was quite friendly. The food selection, preparation, and presentation was fantastic. If you're in New York City, you must come by here!
