There's "kitschy decor but terrific food" – specifically, "upscale twists on Creole cuisine" – at this "quirky" Uptown restaurant, where admirers "feel like they're dining at a friend's house" thanks to a "comfortable" , "funky" interior; throw in a "good bar" and it's no wonder this "cozy" "neighborhood option" is "always crowded" with a young, "local" crowd.

Being that our names are Dick and Jenni this was a must stop for us! Booked through open table, seated promptly. Our waitress however definitely needed a night off, career change, attitude adjustment or all of the above. She's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. The chargrilled oysters were different than anywhere else I've had and surprisingly very good!! We almost ordered more!! The cornbread was really yummy as well!! I didn't have my reading glasses and lo and behold, they brought a bag full to choose from. Genius!! The main entrees were delicious!! My friends got a fish order, I don't even like fish but it was actually really good!! There wasn't a bite of food left I don't think. We'll be back for certain, hopefully with better service though.

Wait staff very attentive. Casual atmosphere. Small menu. Everything we tasted was delicious.

The chef over seasoned several dishes. Indifferent and rude service staff. Scores of much better and attractive eating places in Nola.
