The Zagat Review
“Handwritten menus” announce the daily roster of “consistently excellent” New American bites (including a “phenomenal” burger) at this “funky” local fixture in Williamsburg; set in a 1920s dining car and overseen by a “knowledgeable” crew, it has a “quintessential hipster” vibe that carries over to the outside seating area.

Came here looking for regular comfort diner food with the friend. Thought it was a cute spot at first with it being in a railcar and all. They had a bar which we thought was cool and they were playing music we liked. However there we no menus. The servers had to actually write down the menu on the table cloth which we thought was weird. We felt awkward having to keep asking what was in each meal because we had nothing to read for ourselves. We picked something we thought might be good and went with it along with 2 cocktails. The cocktails weren't good and the food was way overpriced for what we were given. Was disappointing. The place had a lot of potential here.

I’m never one to do this, but I feel compelled. I’ll start with the good; attentive staff, great ambiance, drinks are cool too. That said, MAN are they expensive. I’m totally okay with spending this type of money on a nice dinner, but f*** this food was not worth what I paid. The food was mediocre, I ordered the Ny strip steak and didn’t enjoy it much. It is very difficult for me to not enjoy a piece of premium steak! With what I paid I could’ve went to chili’s and ate like a king and had better quality food. Then there’s the whole “written menu” thing 🤦🏽‍♂️ Cool thought but very unnecessary I would really prefer just having my own damn menu. I didn’t have a terrible experience though like I said, but the food was not very good and after my $140 bill (2 beers 1 app 1 entree) I went home and ordered food. Thanks “Diner” but this is where we part ways

What a cute little spot! I stumbled across this gem after finding out my original destination had closed down. Saturday 11am, it was PACKED! The bar recommended $16 drinks (they were fine, wish I'd stuck to the menu) and we were seated. Our server came over after a few minutes and began writing out our menu. That's right -- there are no menus! This might annoy some folks, but I loved it! It really makes your interaction purposeful. My partner and I each got two sides (I don't eat chicken, but that sandwich looked GOODT), $10/each. The portions were healthy and delish! This restaurant factors gratuity into the price, so no math at the end! Perfection! The structure is super cute, the service was great!
