The "messy" , "juicy" roast pork sandwiches at this "homestyle" Italian stand at Reading Terminal Market are the "perfect Philly phix" ; some caution “be prepared to wait” , though "fast" , "friendly" folks keep things moving – in sum, "you can't go wrong" here.

I had the roast pork with provolone and broccoli. The sandwich was good, prepared very quickly and definitely American-sized. My only complaint was that most of the (sharp and quite good) provolone was in the bread's "pocket", so you would get some bites with no cheese and others with quite a bit.

After having amazing cheesesteaks in this city, this flavorless sandwich just didn’t do it for me. Tried both the pork and beef and neither was something I would want to try again. I don’t understand why people rave about these sandwiches. Go somewhere else in this awesome market.

Dear lord you have to try their pork sandwich. I agree it’s the best in the world. Eat half finish off the rest with some of their hot sauce and peppers. I mean you can tell it’s all made that day, including where ever they’re getting their Italian bread.
