The Zagat Review
Local ingredients drive a menu of Australian-inspired American eats at this “cozy” LES all-day cafe and bar serving everything from pancakes to steaks, plus custom cocktails and regional brews; “cool without being pretentious” , the “tiny” corner spot has a marble bar and sidewalk tables.

Came here for brunch. Very busy, but we were seated within about 20 mins on a Saturday. I had the ricotta pancakes, which were nice but a bit too moist for my personal taste and probably could have done with a little longer in the pan. Bacon was nice and crispy and the coffee was strong but good. Staff were professional and not overbearing. My friend had the avocado toast which looked delicious.

The staff was great. They were very welcoming and helpful. We only got an order of fries, two cappuccinos, and a beer to share between four people but they did not pressure us to order more and still cleared a table for us. The couple next to us has a delicious looking Burger and avocado toast. The cappuccino was delicious. The beer on tap was a generic tasting bar beer for burgers. It was nice and warm inside.

We had a 45min wait on a Sunday for brunch, which is on par with most popular spots in NYC. We ended up sitting at the bar which was super fun and the bartender was awesome. My friend and I shared the shakshuka, brown rice bowl, and a side of the truffle fries. The rice bowl was divine, and the truffle fries were amazing. Shakshuka was also decent. Definitely recommend, but not sure how the menu reflected Australian food.
