Dunbar's Famous Creole Cuisine
Down-home Creole eats in simple digs
Creole · Gert Town
A pre-Katrina NoLa mainstay, this Gert Town iteration maintains its original charm with its down-home Creole cooking (think po’boys, fried seafood platters, BBQ ribs) and familiar, relaxed vibe. Plenty of tables fill the simple space complete with high ceilings and yellow walls.

You will not regret ordering anything on this menu. Today we enjoyed fried catfish and shrimp with red beans and rice and macaroni and cheese. Their fries are also very tasty. I also had seafood pasta which featured shrimp and crawfish today. I dipped the catfish into the creamy pasta sauce and it was out of this world delicious.

First time visiting a few weeks ago when I purchased the fish plate with Mac and fries. I was elated when I found out that the fish is wild caught catfish and not from the farm. The fish was super fresh, the mac was amazingly flavorful. I will visit again soon.

Really good, classic New Orleans style beans and rice . It was very tasty and the new location is large enough to accommodate big groups. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly
