El Five
Hot spot for tapas with sweeping views
Mediterranean · LoHi · $$
Like its Edible Beats siblings Linger, Root Down and others, this Spanish–Middle Eastern hot spot for tapas boasts a magical setting — in this case on on the fifth floor of a LoHi building, where the eye-popping, colorful decor rivals the breathtaking views from both inside and on a balcony. Small plates and a few paellas dominate the menu, while the bar pours craft cocktails and wines to match the regional focus of the food.

This place is awesome. Staff is super friendly. Knowledgeable about food recommendations. Food presentation were top notch. The Food and drinks tasted amazing. Never had so much fun sharing food and just being able to enjoy the company I was around. Can't wait to go back.

I have been to all of the edible beats restaurants and this is by far my favorite. The view is amazing, the restaurant atmosphere very well done, and the staff was great. The Sausage Paella and the lamb ribs are two of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Almost all of the dishes on their menu can be made gluten free and they have some vegan options as well. Great drinks and we never felt rushed or unattended despite how busy it was. Can’t wait to come back.

We came in early for a quick dinner before a movie downtown. Our server was super accommodating and scheduled our courses perfectly to get us on our way on time. Everything was well-executed and delicious from drinks to mains. We did not have time for dessert, but I can't see how you could go wrong picking at a dessert and lingering over the city view.
