The Battery Park City outpost of a Philly original, this “spacious” Mexican provides “big flavors” via a classic menu with “modern” twists served amid “quirky” cantina decor; given a “busy bar” pouring “well-mixed” drinks with a “preponderance of mezcal” , “expect suits after work” – and during the day at the burrito bar.

Absolutely delicious! Started off with the guacamole with tuna tartare...high grade tuna and the guacamole was seasoned well. It could have been a bit more spicier for my liking. My duck mole was phenomenal...it was cooked perfectly where it was falling off the bone and not dry. The rice was slightly over cooked for me, but seasoned well. They gave you two tortillas on the side but could've done without...not into assembling my food. Drinks were really good - we got a pitcher of margarita and specialty cocktails which were all good...they weren't stingy on the liquor. Service was great- our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable...recommended great drinks. Definitely would go back again

Really enjoyed the food. Although it was busy on a Friday night the service didn't suffer any. Our server was friendly and the food came quickly. If you're accustomed to those Mexican restaurants that give you huge portions and you end up with doggie bags, this place is not like that. Their portions were just right and we were satisfied. The chips and salsa were good and the super fresh salsa made up for the not-homemade chips.

A gimmicky menu designed to inflate your tab. $7 for a small side of rice and beans(Not included in entree). $6 for chips and salsa(good chips, skimpy salsa). All would be forgiven if food were worth it, but it’s not. Probably a good place for a group on an expense account if they want something close. Other than that, not worth it. Service slow but friendly. Basically a place that is coasting and not giving an effort that comes near to justifying its prices
