"Arrive before sundown to take in the view" of the Hudson from this "enchanting" "old castle on the hills of Tarrytown" with three different dining rooms where "everything is excellent" – from the "superior" service to the "beautifully prepared" , "delicious" French–New American fare; it tends to draw a "more sedate crowd" that doesn't mind paying "extraordinary prices" for the "royal treatment" , but the Sunday brunch lets you "save a little."

What an amazing place. My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The food was outstanding. The staff was amazing. And the atmosphere was unique. I have dined in a castle before. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good quiet meal. Gents make sure to wear a jacket and sorry no kids for dinner. Great place for couples. This is a must go if you are in town.

The food here is awful and the prices are ridiculous. But the restaurant is beautiful and the view is lovely. It's a castle, imported piece by piece from Europe. I've brought people here over the years because of the setting. Even when you expect the food to be bad, it's surprising every time to discover again how bad it really is. The chef needs to take cooking classes. Come to Equus for a drink--not for a meal-- on a beautiful day and enjoy the lovely gardens, the lawn's chess board with chess pieces 4-feet high, the flowers and trees. If you have a meal here, you will feel ripped off and hungry.

Beautiful view, the restaurant itself doesn't look very great, clearly not part of the original building. Food was ok but prices were high so not really good value.
