Eventide Fenway
Super hip oysters & funky seafood spot
Oyster Bar · Fenway/Kenmore · $$
This smaller sibling to Portland, Maine's super popular and widely lauded seafood spot pares things down to a counter-service format and streamlined menu, but still packs bold flavors into its creative crudo and other eats, including an iconic brown butter lobster roll, in an industrial-nautical space where oysters are freshly shucked while craft beers, wines on tap and even house made sodas flow.

~$7 for the below artisanal soft serve dessert -- vanilla soft serve with a peanut butter "magic cone" and cracker jack. It was freaking delicious, great textures and generous slightly salty peanut butter / cracker jack crunch to soft, sugary ice cream ratio. The portion size was perfect for 1 very indulgent person (although admittedly perhaps "small" for $7). Service was great -- the guy who made the ice cream for me made it extra special since he could just tell I was in a photographing mood (although my photo doesn't do it justice).

I love this place! The service is extremely quick and the food is delicious. Their lobster roll is very good and unique, a must try. This is the perfect spot if you want gourmet food without the fuss.

First impression of the place is very nice - spacious, modern, open bar and an oyster bar in the middle. We ordered the clam chowder, fish burger and lobster roll and a side of fries. Came to $54 and when the food arrived, I felt the value wasn’t there as the portions were small. The fries were way too salty. The chowder was too runny for my liking. It had what looked like pork belly in there which was nice, but taste wise it was good but overpriced. The lobster roll was very little and the sauce was soaking through the bread. I think the fish burger was the best of all the above dishes.
