Faidley Seafood
Stalwart go-to for crab cakes & raw bar

The Zagat Review
"True crab cake pilgrims" come from afar for the "incredible" , "softball-sized" delicacies "jam-packed with big chunks" of lump meat at this "real Baltimore experience" in the "historic" , circa-1782 Lexington Market on the "gritty" Westside; service is "quick" , prices are "low" and there are "no frills" (and no chairs – you stand up to eat at communal tables); P.S. fans swear by an "unsurpassed raw bar" and oyster shuckers that are "the best in the business."

I'm a huge seafood snob and I have to say this place checked off all the boxes. The food was super fresh and incredibly tasty. I brought a group of friends visiting town here and they loved it. The raw bar is always a great vibe for the adult crew. A great local hot spot for a seafood lover.

This is Baltimore (along with the O's and the Visionary Art Museum). Found it when my daughter lived in town. I heard that this is where the Pope used to go for his crab cakes. I take anyone I can to stand at the oyster bar for the primes, then the best crab cakes anywhere. Love to see Nancy and her grumpy husband wearing his crab hat. I love the world weary, but sharp matter of fact professionalism of the staff. One of the great places of America.

Seriously, the best crab cakes and oysters I have ever eaten. Bonus points for being a family-run business. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone. I love the fact that it's in a market too. Poke around the other great places while you're visiting.
