“Veggie fanatics” get the royal treatment at this “funky” Lower Eastsider that “oozes cool” with its “creative” , locavore-oriented New American cooking and “hiptastic” “art-crowd” following; sure, it’s a “tad pricey” and can feel “cramped” , but thanks to “friendly” servers and “interesting cocktails” , it “doesn’t matter.”

The Fat Radish is billed as an English restaurant, but it’s more of an American restaurant with some minor English flair. Service is friendly though a bit slow. In terms of food, the celery root pie (celery root, apple, black garlic and gruyere) was by far my favorite dish. It was unique, savory/sweet and satisfying. I tried a burger as well, and while it was okay, I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. All in all, I really wanted this place to be a lot more authentically English.

Very inventive menu, trying too hard though. I didn't need "burnt garlic powder" on my undressed cucumber salad! Worth the visit, nonetheless. My guest had the burger, looked amazing.

overpriced sides and underwhelming entrees. waited an hour and a half for a steak and a hake fillet, only to be rudely flagged down by the bartender telling us it wasn't our food, but the couple's next to us (although we ordered the same thing). We then proceeded to wait another half hour. The snap pea sour is pretty good though.
