Dry-rubbed BBQ in rustic-industrial digs
Barbecue · Adams Morgan · $
Pitmaster Rob Sonderman (ex DCity Smokehouse) fires up a slew of meats at this Adams Morgan BBQ central, offering wood-smoked, dry-rubbed pork, brisket, turkey and wings in sandwiches and platters, plus veggie sides. The rustic-industrial digs are outfitted with corrugated metal, repurposed church pews (with a stash of logs below) and a wall mural of a pig rendered by a local artist.

The food was good but it wasn’t BBQ. I really enjoy making my own BBQ and got really excited when I found this place. All meats were moist and generally good. But the “Brisket” was basically pot-roast and the Turkey was a very moist rendition of a slice of Thanksgiving turkey. But neither were smoked. If you want real BBQ go elsewhere.

PERFECT place for catering. We needed less than a 24hr turnaround time and they came correct. Food was magical and their team provided impeccable customer service, so definitely use to book your next event!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. A little on the pricier end for BBQ, but it is worth it in every bite. Absolutely delicious, dependable food. Great service. And their absolutely delicious sauces top off the best BBQ in the city.
