This “beautiful flagship” of chef Fabio Trabocchi's “growing empire” (Casa Luca, Fiola Mare) offers “elegance and sophistication” in a “modern” Penn Quarter setting, matched with “sumptuous” Italian cuisine that “delivers flavor in every bite” ; service is so “impeccable” that any meal here is a “special occasion” , and though the experience is decidedly “not cheap” , it’s “certainly worth what you pay” ; P.S. the lunchtime prix fixe is a bit more “light on the wallet.”

What an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. Our service was without a doubt the best that I have ever experienced in my life. Our waiter, Armando, truly made our evening exceptional and even though this was our first time dining there, he made us feel comfortable and at ease. He was also knowledgeable about the menu and attentive throughout the entire evening. I would recommend this to anyone visiting DC and look forward to dining there again in the future.

Quite simply, Fiola is the best restaurant I've ever been to in the United States, and quite possibly anywhere. The service was literally unbelievable - Armando was just too good to be true. Food was delicious, original, and tasteful. Well deserving of its Michelin Star, and some other 1-star DC restaurants - Plume, Sushi Taro - suffer in the comparison. Not a restaurant that you can go to frequently - the experience will cost you an arm and a leg - but for a special occasion, Fiola can't be beat. I certainly hope to return.

We came here without a reservation and we were served immediately. There wasn’t much people but only at the bar. Our waiter Mark was super nice because my mom and dad doesn’t understand English so our waiter explained the menu because there were many complicated words. I didn’t order a course but my mom and dad each ordered a 3 course and dessert to share. We were super full in the end but still managed to eat our dessert. Overall, The food was fabulous and I especially want to thank our server Mark for his funniness and helpfulness. It gave us a really wonderful experience after visiting the US Capitol, museum, and memorial. I would really recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Washington like us.
