Brewerytown Taproom
Jersey brewery with flights & pub grub
Brewpub · Brewerytown · $
A New Jersey brewery puts down roots in Brewerytown at this expansive, industrial taproom where picnic tables and brick walls set the scene for a full lineup of house-brand drafts. The pubby menu kicks off with a flight of five beers paired with coordinating small plates and moves on to cheesesteaks, overstuffed sandwiches and pizzas.

This place has consistently good service, despite the management changes. The menu keeps changing though, which is ok I guess, but I’d like there to be a bit more consistency. I like the space, especially when they open the windows on nice weather, and I like that they have recently added games as an option to play while you’re there. Still a bit too pricey for bar food though.

This place has all of the makings of a big, cozy, neighborhood sports bar. I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll soon achieve that, only time and this new management team will tell. Most recently, I've had their brisket sandwich, which accompanied by tater tots was indulgently delicious. I was able to make two meals of it because the sandwich was just that hefty. I also tried the Btown Mule a couple of days ago and am looking forward to my next one. I had a watch party here a few weeks ago and we had attentive service and huge screens to watch on. Something about this place keeps me coming back, and my guess is the convenience. Hopefully soon I'll be able to say that it's the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere that have won me over.

My fiancé and I sat at the bar here one night - we have been here several times and each time hoped it would get better because we live right down the street. We really wanted this to be the local neighborhood place for us but have had a few not the best experiences. This particular night we inquired to the bartender about renting the space out the bartender gave our contact information to the event manager and said she would get back to us with an email. The events manager was sitting two seats down from us and never even looked our way after the bartender told her we were interested. I never heard back from them. Aside from their poor customer service- the food has been just okay and they are open at weird times. There hasn’t been a lot of variety on the menu. And they also never seem to be prepared for larger nights in terms of staffing. They say management is changing over or has recently changed but the same staff and manager are there. Overall just disappointing.
