Fogo has long been the gold standard for Brazilian steakhouses, and for good reason. The quality and variety of meats they serve is outstanding, from beef (obviously) to pork to chicken to lamb. The salad bar is great, too, but you really need to graze strategically (read: don't get too full on romaine when there's a ton of tasty meat to dig into). Dessert menu is also top-notch. It's pretty pricey, though, so save this one for special occasions.

Place is very upscale in downtown San Francisco area. Service is good. Meat lacked flavor and was mostly overcooked. Table was too congested and staff could not accommodate our large party with an extra table so we could sit comfortably. Wine collection is very good. Try the Intrinsic Cabernet.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I will never go back here again and will never recommend this to anyone! Service was horrible. We were a large group in three back and only had 5 or 6 gauchos stop at our table. Had many more skip over our table with out even looking. Even though we had our cards on the green side. Don't come here! So many better places to eat.
