The popular Grand Rapids brewery finally lands in Detroit’s Cass Corridor with a hip new taproom serving seasonal house-brewed beers and classic American drinking snacks – think sandwiches and beer cheese with pretzels. Great spot for both food and beverage. Friendly service from every angle. Good to have them closer to this side of the state. Spacious bit still waiting and inviting. They brew a few beers on-site and will be more than happy to talk about them.

Great beer, good food! Seating is not managed, just first come and first served where you find you own table. So when it is packed you have to hover or spread out to get the next table. Wasn't too bad.

The beer was great like always but the service and food is adequate at best. My wife and I were lucky to get a seat at the bar and although there seem to be 10 bartenders it still took a long time to be recognized. We ordered the Cheese dip and meatballs. The cheese dip was good but the dip itself and bread was barely warm. The meatballs where ice cold. I asked for a new order and the buzzer never went off to pick them up. I finally asked the bartender 20 minutes later and she retrieved them for me, only for them to be just as cold as the first time. She never even came back to check if they were better. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to check on us we explained the situation to another bartender and asked to take them off the bill. Some of the staff seems more preoccupied with talking to each other than taking care of the guests. Hopefully they work out the kinks eventually
