Service

"A neighborhood gem in the Castro" , Melissa Perello’s "exceptional" Californian reliably "rocks" thanks to "luscious" dishes that "change with what's fresh and available locally" , served with "pay-per-ounce" house wines ( "best idea ever" ); the "incredible" staff makes you feel "well taken care of" in the "small" , "homey" space, but being a "popular" draw with "limited seating" , it remains "a hard reservation to score" (though walk-in spots are available at the bar).

Loved the food. Main course was on point. The smoked bacon beignets is popular, but I would pick something else.

Sublime, well thought out menu. It's always better to do a few things well, than many things average. Can be a bit loud.

Pleasantly cozy and understated setting, although tight and loud. Attentive and seemless service. Farm fresh seasonal produce and quality meats/seafood cooked just right, served on beautiful ceramics. Unfortunate that everything was seasoned with just a pinch too much salt. None of the dishes or flavors stood out as something I'd crave again, but there were no misses. Chef kindly comped dessert for my birthday, YAY!
