There are 3 main components of an outstanding dining experience, food, service, and decor - Garland hits all 3 out of the park. The menu is innovating and exciting but still approachable, and the food is undeniably delicious. They do some tapas style offerings and also large plates, but everything looks so good you will want to order as much as possible and share. I am a little wary of spicy food, but they hit all the right marks for me and my spicy-food enjoying companion. Importantly, our server knew the menu inside and out and could answer all our questions. There are some unfamiliar words, so being able to accurately communicate and set people's expectations is so key. He was attentive and engaged without hovering, and didn't rush us - which was especially nice on a Saturday night! The silverware, glasses, plates, even the bathrooms, were sparkling clean and well cared for. You can tell the people who work here take pride in the place. The music was quiet enough not to be obtrusive but present enough to set a nice relaxing tone for the dining room. Just perfect. It was the kind of dinner where you don't worry about anything and feel completely taken care of, which is incredibly difficult to find. This was one of my top 3 dining experiences in NC and I can't wait to go back. Raleigh is really on the rise!

We came as a big group for a birthday dinner Friday night. The service was good but the food was sub par. They are technically an Asian restaurant but the food wasn't great. The pork rice bowl wasn't tasty.. it was just sweet. The lamb curry has 3/4 pieces of lamb and wasn't worth the money. The appetizers (scallops and fried vegetables) were better than the main courses.

Went here for my birthday with some friends. The food was amazing as were the tasty drinks we started with. Knock a star off, as our waitress disappeared for a bit and we were waiting to order our entree. Their dessert selection does leave a little to be desired, as the selection seems a bit on the lighter side and we ended up gluing elsewhere. Other than those two things, a solid experience and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.
