“Consistently good” fare including a “terrific” weekend brunch attracts Francophiles to this “chic, bohemian” South End French staple (and Aquitaine sibling) in a subway tile–lined setting evoking an “old-world brasserie” ; despite being “always hopping with a fun buzz” , it feels “well managed” thanks to “solid” service, with relatively “reasonable” prices plus “quiet courtyard” dining and free parking adding to the joie de vivre.

I came here for nice brunch with friend for a baby shower. The customer service was very good, waiter kept coming back refilled my coffee and made sure we all set as we ate our meals. First it came with basket bread with three different kind of bread in it. I got the prefix price which is about $12, it's come with coffee, fresh squeezed juice (orange or grapefruit), and one of the meal. I picked grapefruit juice which is not as bitter as I expected and scrabble eggs which I find it with no flavor. I tried my friend's food which is pretty tasty.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is wonderful, the wait staff is professional and clever. The last waiter we had made some wonderful recommendations I would not have tried otherwise. Sitting at the booth is better than a table in the middle of the room because it is less noisy. I’ve been to the restaurant when it is very full and been seated in the middle of long rows of table and people. It is crowded and for some reason I could hear the people to my sides better than my dinner date in front of me.

We went here for my ladies Birthday and had an amazing time. Just to get a sense of this place and the skills of the bartender, I ordered "The Last word", and they got it right. Having had many of them from the person who invented the drink, that's a major compliment. I followed that with an obscure drink called "Satan's soul patch" and they nailed it. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, which earned the place a generous tip. Well worth the dollar spent for the evening.
