Vegans call this "trendy" Mission cantina a "lifesaver" for serving "innovative" yet "comforting" meatless Mexican eats "without alienating omnivores" by being too "hippie-dippie" ; it's "not a venue for an intimate rendezvous" , but the "fun setting" has its own "allure" , as do moderate prices.

If you are new to vegan, eat here! When I first became vegan, my first dinner was at Gracias Madre. They have delicious food all vegan. I ordered the enchiladas and it was surprisingly filling. My daughter has food allergies and they were very accommodating. They took special care to ensure her food was not contaminated.

Food was delicious but was a little pricey. Could be the fact that its organic and in SF. Fresh juice for 6.50 is a little much and you sit at a table with strangers (if you don't have a party less than 6) which we didn't know before going there. Waiters were great and food was great which is why I gave it 4 out of 5

Food is really good, and the entire restaurant is vegan! They have a nice theme inside and a great heated patio for outside seating. Everything we ate was yummy, but my favorites were the roasted brussel sprouts and the cauliflower. Their apple cobbler dessert was amazing as well. The only downside is price. Prepare to light your wallet on fire if you are bringing several people here!
