Farmer & The Fish - Gramercy
Cooking based on local seafood & produce
Seafood · Gramercy Park · $$$$
Sib to Purdy’s Farmer & the Fish in Westchester, this Gramercy offshoot sources produce from the restaurant’s own farm upstate to complement sustainable fish and raw-bar delicacies from Down East Seafood (also owned by one of the founders). Tile floors, brick walls and chandeliers give the space a homey yet polished look to go with the upscale fare.

Good-looking staff. We assumed most of them have aspirations of being stage and screen. Food is good, not great. Very nice place. I'll try it again.

I only went a few times on Sunday evening during summer 2017 and had their special lobster and clams every time. It was very good and at a absolutely reasonable price. However I don’t know how the regular menu is.

Ran out of all you can eat mussels. The dishes we had were a little bland and required a lot of salt to taste good. Service was great.
