Great Divide Barrel Bar
Cozy taproom for original craft beer

The Zagat Review
"Bold" and "unusual" suds keep the "small" , "simple taprooms" "mobbed" at these "lively" microbrewery outposts in Ballpark and RiNo with a "big beer reputation" , though the "phenomenal" 'tenders still "effortlessly work the bar" ; enthusiasts can learn "every part" of the brewing process on the free, "short" , "informative" tours, then make the most of the "reasonable" prices with a tasting flight of samplers.

It is a cool place. No food, which is common. Although there is a taco truck usually outside. Beer selection is what's rotated and available most places. It would be unique if they had a beer you could only get there. Make it something special. Otherwise, another cool brewery in RiNo. And of course I will be back.

Perhaps my rating is a bit liberal, as Great Divide was among my first craft beer loves back when they began 20-some years ago. I love big beers, especially those aged in beautiful barrels, so this spot also has a place in my heart. With Mockery as neighbors, we can come park in one spot and enjoy hours of wonderful beers conveniently. My last visit here, I arrived at noon mid-week. They had three barrel-aged beers pouring, and thankfully, a taco truck parked outside. I initially planned on one quick beer before returning to work, but decided to take the rest of the day off and call in some friends. Ten hours later, the tacos ran out and we went home very happy.

Still a fairly small place to drink, too much construction in the area makes it a nightmare to get there/park. Great beer.
