You'll feel “instantly transported” at this West Village Japanese where the “refreshing” menu of “obscure” and “imaginative” small plates “pays homage” to pork via “fantastic” dishes including “must-have” pig's feet; a “warm” staff “eager to educate” first-timers elevates the “casual” space.

The food is excellent! I had the #1 hot pot with pork belly, collagen, and dumplings. It’s very filling and relatively healthy. It’s a “beauty” soup because of the collagen. The garlic fried rice is heavenly as well, small portion but just enough for two people. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of the front desk lady who takes numbers for the customers when they line up. Her attitude was terrible and she didn’t seem like she welcomes anyone into the restaurant. Other than that, this is a 5 star restaurant for the food.

Try their hot pots! They've got great depth of flavor. Service is OK; sometimes they get busy and things can get delayed especially if you ordered a hot pot.

We had the different varieties of hotpot and while it is good I dont know about going in large groups. The restaurants are smaller and the prices are a little on the high side. Good quality food though. I would say more for a small intimate group.
