Mediterranean spot with an open kitchen
American · Bedford-Stuyvesant · $$$
Mediterranean fare (including a grass-fed lamb burger) emerges from the open kitchen of this Bed-Stuy eatery by an alum of Reynard and Marlowe & Sons. The petite space also serves a short list of wines and cocktails, and there's a communal table as well as two-tops.

Excellent food, service and wine selection. Cozy but big heart kind of kitchen. The clam toast is a must. Definitely going back.

A favorite neighborhood spot. The food is outstanding, derived from well-selected fresh ingredients and the wonderful use of Mediterranean spices that evoke great flavors from those ingredients. The staff is kind and friendly and the service great.

Cute, intimate restaurant - they have maybe 8 tables and a 5-seat bar, so wouldn’t advise coming here with a big group. Food was tasty, although flavors weren’t particularly unique or groundbreaking. I ordered the clam toast, lamb burger with anchovies, and olive oil cake. Clam toast was essentially a very garlicky moules marinieres over thick-cut, grilled She Wolf Bakery bread. Lamb burger was very good, with a nice savoriness thanks to the anchovies. Olive oil cake was disappointingly dry and crumbly. Service was good, but a little distant, and portions were tiny. Probably won’t come back but it’s worth a try.
