Previously a food truck sensation with long lines and sold-out wares, this husband-and-wife-operated BBQ joint has a brick-and-mortar home in Fairmount, offering staples such as brisket, ribs and Heim’s signature bacon burnt ends. The casual space features communal tables, a small patio and a few seats at the bar, which pours more than 150 whiskeys.

Good BBQ! The burnt bacon ends were awesome, great fries, the spicy sausage was very good as was the jalapeno mac and cheese. No Frills restaurant. Cafeteria style ordering, service was friendly and efficient. When your food's ready they have the modules that light up and buzz so you can go up and get your food. They also have a short bar you can sit at.

Damn good barbecue. Prices on par with more mainstream offerings like Dickey's or Cousin's but they have many unique offerings like the jalapeno mac and cheese which is maybe my favorite barbecue side ever. Enjoy those delicious smoke rings on the meats and you can taste the slow care they put in their craft. Busy most times but you won't wait unreasonably long. Full fledged bar too if you want to just chill too.

Heim is a delicious BBQ joint on Magnolia. It's always busy, but it's well worth the wait. The place is a little more upscale than most barbeque places. The food is consistently superb, though, and the service is speedy given the high traffic. I recommend the Bacon Burnt Ends, the Mac 'N Cheese, and the Loaded Potato Skins.
