New American option emphasizing veggies
Small Plates · Lower East Side · $$$
From alums of Casa Mono and Estela, this LES New American puts the emphasis on seasonal veggie plates, plus a few meatier entrees, at dinner, with sweet and savory dishes for weekend brunch. The compact, light-wood space, which includes a counter facing the kitchen, also serves natural wines.

I have eaten here twice--December and February, and have had most things on the menu during that time. If this place doesn't knock your socks off, then you aren't wearing any. I am already planning my third venture into the city just to eat here. Four people is the ideal number. You each get a solid bite or two of whatever you order, and you can order a lot of different things. Just do it. Shut up already and go. Stop reading this.

Delicious food made with care and seasonal ingredients. Sit at the bar and talk directly to the chefs. Great small wine list full of wines made mostly naturally and with passion. I LOVE this restaurant and would eat here weekly. One of the best places to eat in Manhattan right now.
