The Zagat Review
Be prepared to "perspire" at this "hole-in-the-wall" Chinese chain where the "spicy" Hunan cooking is "a cut above" the competition; there's "no atmosphere to speak of" , but compensations include "friendly service" and "insanely reasonable" prices.

It was actually a pretty good homely casual Chinese place. The food was decent but for most of it, I've definitely had better. Ordered: 1. Vegetarian Egg rolls: they tasted really good but it was literally dripping oil. 2. Hot and Sour soup: Really good. 3. Kung Pao chicken: not really, I've definitely had bette (Also it doesn't come with a side of rice so you have to order it separately). 4. Chicken Fried Rice: good. 5. Curried Chicken Noodles: show stealer! Must try. For me the chicken wasn't really cooked so well and also there was just 1 staff member.who was very sweet but was evidently over exhausted. Also, in the middle of our meal, some group came inside for a donation and just stood at our table which was extremely awkward. Although the hostess came over and asked them to leave but it was just a very weird situation.

Well, the service was not good. We were one of only three groups in the restaurant and for some reason she forgot to bring us water and was very slow. I had the curry, chicken chow mein. The noodles were cold and possibly several days old. The chicken was definitely cooked yesterday or even the day before. My wife had the vegetarian egg rolls. They consisted of only cabbage, nothing else. We would never go back.
