“Rich” , “category-defining” ramen and “incredible” pork buns make for “insanely packed” conditions (and “ridiculously long waits” ) at these Japanese joints; digs are “more spacious” in Hell’s Kitchen, while the Village original is “darker” with “interesting” Asian-inspired decor, but expect a “warm” , “shouted” greeting at each one.

Love love love ippudo! Cucumber appetizer is phenomenal and so are the buns. On our latest trip they had a special fish bun which was excellent. We love the chicken wings too! Cannot go wrong with a stop here, it’s so delicious.

Came here about 2 weeks ago Very nice small place, friendly attentive staff, fast service. Pork Buns were delicious. Flavorful tender meat and fat. Ordered Spicy Ramen I believe. Can't remember exactly what the name was. Broth was fantastic. super tasty and creamy. Pork chasu was on my taste could be more tender. Still delicious and tasty. Noodles were very good. Nice texture and chewiness. Price was right. Would recommend and come back to this place.

Delicious place! Went for lunch on a Friday at 1 and it was packed. Staff was great, super helpful and nice. Quick service, too. Ask for the spicy paste on the side!
