“Rich” , “category-defining” ramen and “incredible” pork buns make for “insanely packed” conditions (and “ridiculously long waits” ) at these Japanese joints; digs are “more spacious” in Hell’s Kitchen, while the Village original is “darker” with “interesting” Asian-inspired decor, but expect a “warm” , “shouted” greeting at each one.

Lunch for 2 on a Monday at 1 pm, we walked right in. Ordered the pork buns and number 1 and number 2. Everything was tasty as what you would expect with Ippudo quality - I had this brand in Tokyo, Kyoto and Singapore so I do have some insights into their brand and food quality. Service was prompt and attentive (just enough), and i loved the little greetings when you first walk in. I work nearby so I will be back.

Went later in the day, so there was more than ample room, you're greeted when you walk in! The ramen was absolutely fantastic. Some of the best I've ever had. Prices were a bit higher than I was expecting and I sadly ate in a rush, but the staff was super friendly and nice. Highly recommend!

This is a cozy little place, with friendly staff. It feels a bit plain though. The ramen broth was excellent, and the noodles were cooked just right. I loved the egg and spicy paste.
