Service

A “little slice of Italy” near Bloomingdale's, this “throwback” Italian has been serving “classic” red-sauce fare via “old-world” staffers since 1955; OK, so it's “nothing exciting” , but the “rustic” trattorialike setting is “cozy” , and it's “been around forever” – with a “loyal following” – for “good reason.”

Terrible service. Nothing special on the menue. The waiter was not helpful at all to recommend a dish or explain one. We asked him later for Parmesan cheese, he went and never came back. At the end of the evening I asked another waiter to bring our check. Of course I left no tip. Our original waiter came following us adking why I did not leave any tip! I explained to him why. His boss overheared and came apologizing. I tild him that we had enough of this mediocre restaurant and we left.
