A “cozy, taverny” vibe, “terrific cocktails” and “upscale” American comfort fare delivered by a “cheerful” crew make a “neighborhood go-to” of this Brooklyn Heights “hideaway” ; some find the menu “limited” and “slightly pricey” , but all welcome the next-door Oyster Room dispensing bivalves and small plates.

I've been here countless times since they opened and I've never been disappointed! Just wonderful!! (**and we travel in from NW NJ!) I love the location close to the Brooklyn bridge and the Promenade. The food, prices, and ambience is just right! Can't wait to return and will get the Mac n Cheese and Crispy Fried Oyster Salad. The Trout Salad is amazing!! Steaks? Yeah...those, too. OH! And Sunday Brunch?? OMG!! I really wish we lived closer.

This is a popular restaurant in Brooklyn Heights that I once found over-rated, but having recently eaten there twice, I think it has improved greatly. I ordered a pork dish that was tasty and tender with good sides. Their cocktails ever were and continue to be excellent, 5-stars really. Nice atmospheric restaurant with music on very low and good acoustics--as far as I can tell, and I detest a noisy restaurant!

The food here is nothing outstanding, but this is one of the handful of decent dining options north of Montague. Locals seem to enjoy this spot for dinner. Tasty Manhattan cocktails, too.
