This place has amazing brunch food and drinks. They have a wide selection to choose from whether you want traditional brunch food or something more like a salad or mac and cheese. It is super crowded here and there is usually a pretty long wait for brunch on the weekends. You can stand in the bar area and wait, or you can walk around the neighbourhood and they will text you when your table is ready. I especially love this place because they have vegetarian biscuits and gravy, a dish that traditionally has sausage in it. You can order the gravy as mushroom gravy instead of sausage gravy in order to make it vegetarian. The biscuits are fluffy and the gravy is rich and delicious. The cheese grits is loaded with cheese, as is the mac and cheese. There are a bunch of even heavier dishes in the menu if that's what you are looking for. Jacob's Pickles is a great brunch spot with Southern style foods and good vegetarian options. It is definitely worth the wait for weekend brunch here.

It was a pretty horrible experience. The 2 hostesses were some of the rudest people I've ever met. The place was packed and everyone was huddled around the bar area as you walk in. They sat us outside.... basically... in December. It was freezing outside and we were places on metal chairs sitting directly on top of the NYC sidewalk. Even with keeping gloves and hats and coats on while we ate, it was getting very cold sitting sitting on the metal chairs. We got the choice of 5 pickles selection, and one of the 5 was pretty good, while the other 4 were not at all. The main dinner entrees though were pretty tasty, but definitely not worth the overall hassle of these conditions.

I came here with some friends as the name alone intrigued me when I strolled by it earlier in the day. Do they only serve pickles? Guess we'll find out. The answer is no, they have more than just that. We felt like just doing some snacking so we got an assortment of appetizers and I'm glad we did. The fried pickles were better than expected as I'm not usually too fond of foods that are simply fried. I also really liked this buffalo mac and cheese they made. I probably ate 75% of it at the table which didn't make my friends too happy! My only slight knock is that the place is very loud and the echo drones on so you'll have to speak up loudly. Would definitely come here again!
