American bistro with popular brunch

The Zagat Review
The “girl-next-door” of Village restaurants, this “reliable” American turns out “solid” cooking in “warm” surrounds watched over by a “low-key” staff; its “unassuming” vibe during the week changes completely during the “always packed” brunch – a “noisy” but “not-to-be-missed” affair.

That French toast brought a tear to my eye and touched my core. This is not an exaggeration. Jan '18 review: I got a tear in my eye the first time I had the French toast and have had it several times since. Alas the last two times the French toast was just okay, and the newbies I brought with me weren't impressed enough by their meals to match the hype I created. To top it off brunch no longer comes with a brunch drink (and reductions on other dishes) which drastically changes the value calculus for this meal in the wrong direction. I hope an in attempt to increase profit the quality of food doesn't drop anymore. Please get back to the days of tear-inducing gastronomical delight. Although as always the service was great.

Went there for a late Sunday brunch there recently. The food was very good. Loved almost all of the items that we ordered. French toast is a must try! I usually don't like them, but the one here is very good indeed. Kale and eggs was another good dish. Liked the fact that it wasn't overpowered by adding too much quinoa, was just perfect. The other items were usual brunch fares - Benedict's, avocado toasts n burgers. Can't go wrong with them. Ordered sides of Brussels sprouts, were done perfectly! Pity they didn't come with any sauces, but asking for aioli easily fixed it. Coffee was good too. Service was good and friendly. We waited almost an hour after paying the check and they were cool with it, as there were many empty tables. Decently priced. Definitely a place worth going again..

Visited a while ago, a wait is pretty standard. Once seated, the staff and workers are nice and friendly. The restaurant's atmosphere was really eye catching, and the set up of the bar was nice. Their food was good. May be a bit pricey but it's worth trying.
