Jersey Pizza
East Coast-style pies in cool digs
American · SoMa · $$
From the Town Hall/Salt House/Anchor & Hope empire comes this midpriced pizza joint inspired by the Garden State and serving "delicious" pies that "wow" , along with "amazing" salads, pastas, meat dishes and seafood, plus local wine and beer; with exposed brick, a butcher-block bar and tabletops, dark-wood wainscoting and polished concrete floors, the SoMa establishment is as stylish as its predecessors and draws an equally bustling crowd; P.S. there's an "excellent happy hour" too.

This place really surprised me! You see best pizza in SF lists all the time and I can't believe I've never seen this one mentioned. Mosdef, one of the best pizza in the city no one talks about! We ordered the mushroom and I'd highly recommend it.

Being from the east coast anytime you see Taylor ham or pork roll on the menu you know the place is going to be good. We started with a meatball crostini which was fantastic. A homemade meatball with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese. We then had the "New Yorker" pizza which was true to the east coast thin crust style of pizza or, you know, pizza. Done well with a thin crispy crust. Then we move to dessert. Made in house tiramisu. Which was very good. Additionally they have a solid draft menu with beers from the local area and a staff that knows beer.
