Hong Kong–style dim sum destination

The Zagat Review
These “bustling” Cantonese roll out “delectable” dim sum “à la Hong Kong” on “quickly moving carts” at the Chinatown original with its “football field–sized” hall, while a 10-seat chef’s counter at the Upper West Side offshoot offers diners a peek at the kitchen action; though “crowded at peak hours,” they’re “affordable” all the time.

My first real NYC dim sum experience. It was definitely memorable. My friend invited me to this place as recommended by his good friend. It was a bit overwhelming coming in. It was a huge banquet hall. People sat in the same table--a little too close for my comfort. I guess we weren't too aggressive on getting food so we just sat and watched until the ladies came by with something we wanted. They have plenty of choices for non vegans and vegetarians. I had a couple of their tofu dishes which was quite good. Their prices weren't bad considering we paid $40 four a few plates. I'd come back for the experience of forcing yourself to sit there and slowly eat your meal and enjoy with a good buddy. I wouldn't say this is a place where you take a date unless both you know the food or have known each other in a while. It's probably better to go with a large group and share. Everything adds up so just don't order too much. You'll actually get full quickly.

Been going to this rest. 4 many years. Classic push cart style dim sum. But, you can order from a menu. Food is fresh and cocktails to go with your meal. Great to come here with a large group. But, good for small groups too; just going to share a table with others if you do not mind. But, it is definitely one of my go to dim sum in the area.

Great place for Dim Sum. They always have lots of carts going. It's very very busy and practically impossible to get someone to notice you when you need water or hot sauce, but it's very good food. If you go for lunch during the week, it's very cheap!
