Service

At this East Village Japanese in a below-ground space, the Kyoto-style seasonal specialties are “as good as the finest in Tokyo” and the reservations-only kaiseki dinners are a “meal to remember” ; “wonderful” servers and calm surroundings are more reasons its admirers spend big and “leave satisfied.”

We tried the kaiseki here for my birthday and it was a good mix of traditional and modern dishes. The Hokkaido uni they had was super delicious. Excellent service and they even gave me a little gift to take home.

Innovative Japanese cuisine. Thoughtful dishes immaculately presented. Go for the sweet potato tempura. Excellent service.

Nice and beautiful Japanese cuisine. Small quantity but good taste. If order the a la carts, our average were between $60-90 per person, but the food and service worth the price. The chef tasting menu need to notify at least one day ahead.
