Service

At this East Village Japanese in a below-ground space, the Kyoto-style seasonal specialties are “as good as the finest in Tokyo” and the reservations-only kaiseki dinners are a “meal to remember” ; “wonderful” servers and calm surroundings are more reasons its admirers spend big and “leave satisfied.”

Great restaurant. Innovative Japanese food yet true to its root. Extremely well executed, tasty and relatively inexpensive for the great quality, service and space(spent ~$220 for two including tax/tip and one drink each)

If you want slow, expensive and small size food this may be the place for you. I wouldn't recommend it unless you do the kaiseki menu maybe?

The layout of the space is incredible and the staff immediately makes you feel comfortable. The menu is quite expansive, and everything I tried had a unique flavor and stellar presentation. It is very expensive, but certainly worth it.
