A walk-up window for “delectable” gelato in flavors both “classic” and “unique” ( “saffron, blue cheese” ) lures 'em to this Park Slope offshoot of a Lombardy, Italy, favorite; inside, it's a “delightful” coffee/wine bar with a “sustainable/slow cooking” ethos serving “serious” panini and more – and the “magic” back garden seals the deal.

This place is super authentic and has fantastic Italian food fare, and I'm pretty sure everyone who works there is Italian too. It's the real deal. Expect excellent food, beautiful room, plenty of itlaian olive oils and other cute gifts at the front desk you can buy, fair prices, and great wine, but their customer service could use some improvement. We had a big birthday there, probably spent about $700, but they charged us for bread for the table when we specifically asked if we could have some only if we wouldn't be charged for it. The manager quickly took it off the check and apologized, but I was slightly put off for three reasons: 1. I had read in a previous review that they did this and so I specifically made a point of asking before ordering 2. We just dropped $700+ on a fabulous meal, who charges for bread? 3. Could have been charged by accident or could have been taken advantage of because we were all drinking, it was a little weird. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because this is truly a unique place and the decor and gelato far make up for anything else, and the staff are truly very friendly. I think the longer they are around they will work out the kinks in customer service/hospitality. I look forward to coming back and I hope others will continue to have a great experience.

Best ice cream in Brooklyn. Hands down. If you like a creamier, better quality ice cream, then definitely come here. At $6 for a small it ain't cheap, but the quality speaks for itself.

This place is right next to Surfish Bistro (one of my favorite Brooklyn restaurants). My boyfriend and I come here after every time to get some dessert. They have some great flavors, such as blueberry cheesecake which we both thought was tasty and also unique flavors of gelato such as pear and peach, sweet milk with chocolate or caramel. All their gelato and icecream are amazing + they are generous with the scoops!
