The Zagat Review
Though this "elegant" , chandelier-hung CBD dining room in an old cigar factory flies somewhat "below the radar" , with its "ambitious" seasonal menu featuring "true French" and New Orleans cuisine as well as its "attentive" staff, it is "excellent on all counts" ; although the tabs are "expensive" , fans would return to this "very solid" "special-occasion" choice "in a heartbeat."

It was our first night in New Orleans. We were on our honeymoon and they rolled out the red carpet for us. We were greeted with 2 glasses of champagne. We had one of the best meals we've ever had! I had the opportunity to compliment the chef. He took us back in the kitchen and showed us how he had prepared the steak my husband ordered, and gave us the recipe for the BBQ shrimp. We would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant not only for the welcoming and amazing service but also for the astounding menu! This will be our first stop on our next trip to New Orleans!

I visited La Foret this week and was entirely impressed. La Foret is to dining what Disney is to youth entertainment. The staff truly understands the importance of the dining experience. This may very well be the best restaurant in the city. Worth twice what I paid. It is still on my mind several days after the event. If you want to make an impression on a loved one or a client, this is the place to go. I can't wait until they open up for lunch!
