French traditions and farm-to-table sensibilities shape the menu at this “cute” San Francisco bakery and bistro, where the “affordable” little luxuries include “wonderful breads and pastries” , quiches, croques and other “easy” light bites, plus coffee, beer and wine; some say it's “hit or miss” for quality and service, but “when it's good, it's good.”

I came in and the place was full, so i was sat outside until a table was available. Pretty much at the beginning, I was forgotten for a good 10 min. Until i gave one waiter the "whats-going-on-here?" Look. But after that everything went smooth and service was great. (I judge service at the point where they greet me) Had the steak n eggs. Yummy. Choice of wines are small but good. All in all I had a great time. Was not able to order pastries but they look and smelled delicious indeed.

This morning we tried out this Cafe' and found that their food , especially the almond croissant is sub-par. Don't waste your money! The competition puts this "french' bakery to shame!!

Food is great. Location is primal. Service is warm. Best thing to do in a sunny afternoon with friend or alone. Weekend brunch is usually a lineup.
